What Information is Considered “Personal Information”?

Information we collect on our Website falls into one of two categories:

1) Information by which you may be personally identified, such as first and last name; specific home, physical, or mailing address; e-mail address, username or “screen” name; telephone number, including a mobile telephone number; a “persistent identifier” used to recognize a user over time, such as a customer number held in a cookie, an internet protocol (IP) address or unique device ID; and any other information collected that is combined with one or more of the categories of information listed here.

2) Other information that is about you but does not identify you personally, such as certain anonymized demographic information, non-specific geographic location information or information about which buttons or links users click on most frequently when they access our Website.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, information listed in the first category above is considered to be your “Personal Information.” All other information that does not identify you individually or that is “anonymized” or “de-identified” is not considered Personal Information.

Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It

Direct Collection

The principal way we receive Personal Information about you is when you choose to provide it to us directly by filling out registration forms, creating a personal profile, and/or interacting with certain organization, planning and other tools available to you via the Website.

When you register for the Website and fill out our registration form, we collect several types of information from you, including: your first and last name; your e-mail address; demographic information such as your gender, date of birth, occupation and marital status; basic information about your planned move, such as the city you are moving from and to; and (as an option) a photo of yourself for your profile.

If you choose to update your personal profile or utilize tools like “Manage My Move” and the “Marketplace,” you may be asked to provide additional Personal Information by submitting or posting such information via the relevant web forms. To unlock certain deals and promotional offers from certain third party vendors (“Beekeepers”) via the Website, for example, you will be asked to provide a specific physical address.

You also may provide information to be posted, published or displayed on public areas of the Website, or transmitted to other users of the Website or third parties, including information, feedback and comments (collectively, “User Contributions”). Your User Contributions, including any Personal Information you include with your User Contributions, are posted on and transmitted to others at your own risk. We cannot control the actions of other users of the Website with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorized persons.

Automatic Collection

When you access, use and navigate through the Website, the Website may use certain technologies (described below) to collect automatically the following information:
• Traffic Data / Usage Details. When you access and use the Website, we may collect automatically certain details of your access to and use of the Website, including traffic data, logs, and other communication data, your navigation paths through the Website, the resources that you access and use on or through the Website and the referring and exit pages.
• Computer and Device Information. When you access and use the Website, we may collect information about your computer or mobile device and your internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, browser type, the mobile device’s unique device identifier, mobile network information and the device’s telephone number.

If you do not want us to collect this information automatically your choice is to not access or use the Website and/or to not call into our phone lines.

• Cookies (or mobile cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on your computer or mobile device. It may be possible to refuse to accept cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser or mobile device. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts or features of the Website.
• Web Beacons. Certain pages or portions of the Website and our e-mails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags and single-pixel gifs) that permit us, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an e-mail and for other related usage statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain content and verifying system and server integrity).
• Embedded Code. Certain pages or portions of the Website may use embedded hidden code to collect information about usage flows through the Website and other similar usage statistics.

Online Tracking and How We Respond to “Do Not Track” Signals
Tracking involves the use of cookies, web beacons or other embedded code or tracking technologies to collect, analyze and store information on a user’s behavior over time on multiple sites, including information on the sites visited, products viewed, products purchased and other online interactions. Tracking information can be used to enable companies to make interest-based (behavioral) advertising available to users on multiple sites that they visit.

The Website does not and will not respond to any “DO NOT TRACK” signals sent by your browser or otherwise. While we may track, process, analyze and share with third parties certain descriptive and predictive data about our users’ use of the Website to aid such third parties in providing better-targeted advertising and promotional material to you, such data is shared with third parties in anonymized form only, and we do not collect or share Personal Information about your on-line activities over time and across third party sites for behavioral advertising purposes. For more information, see the section below titled “Use of Your Information for Promotional, Advertising and Marketing Purposes.”

Some content or applications, including advertisements, on the Website are served by third-parties, including advertisers, ad networks and servers, content providers, and application providers. These third parties may use cookies (alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies) to collect information about you when you use our website. The information they collect will not include or be associated with your Personal Information (except, in some cases, with respect to your computer’s IP address tracked through cookies or other tracking technologies), but may include information about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content. We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.

Direct Marketing From Us. We may use your Personal Information (in particular, your e-mail address) to provide you with promotional information about our own products and services or to communicate to you directly certain deals or promotional offers from third parties that may be of interest to you.

Third Party Marketing. When you choose to unlock deals from “Beekeepers” or when you choose to interact with certain planning and organization tools on the Website (such as the “Manage My Move” or “Auction My Move” features), we may provide or disclose to third party vendors or advertisers certain anonymized information (not including any Personal Information) about you, such as basic demographic information, non-specific geographic information, your level of engagement on the site (your “Honey” score), or the fact that (for example) “someone” in town is looking for a mattress for less than $200. This may trigger the display via the Website of certain targeted banner advertisements or promotional offers from such third parties. We also may track and provide such third parties with anonymized statistics to understand the impact and effectiveness of targeted advertising on the Website. Third party vendors and advertisers with access to the Website, including any “Beekeepers,” will only be provided access to anonymized information about users of the Website; they will never be provided with or permitted to use your Personal Information (in particular, your mailing address or e-mail address) for promotional, advertising or marketing purposes. The one exception to this is with respect to the use of your computer’s IP address in connection with certain targeted banner advertising, as described in the section above titled “Online Tracking and How We Respond to ‘Do Not Track’ Signals.”

We may disclose anonymized information about you, not including your Personal Information, to third party vendors and advertisers for the marketing purposes noted above (see section titled “Uses of Your Information for Promotional, Advertising and Marketing Purposes”).

We may disclose to other users or groups (“Colonies”) on the Website your User Contributions (which may include Personal Information if you choose to provide it in your User Contributions) if you direct us to do so via the Website’s forums and other interactive features.

Additionally, we may disclose your information, including your Personal Information:
• To our directors, officers, employees, subsidiaries, parent and affiliates;
• To contractors, service providers and other third parties we use to support our business and help us operate, maintain and improve the Website and who (1) need to know such information to support our permitted uses of Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and (2) are bound by contractual obligations to keep Personal Information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them;
• To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of the Company’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which Personal Information held by the us about our Website users is among the assets transferred;
• To comply with any court order, law or legal process, including responding to any government or regulatory request;
• To enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including our Newbee Terms of Use [INSERT AS HYPERLINK TO TERMS OF USE].
• If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, the Website’s users or others;.
• For any other purpose disclosed when the information is provided; and
• For any other purpose with your consent.

Finally, we may share traffic data (e.g., audience size and usage patterns) that we collect from cookies, web beacons or other embedded code and that is not tied to your Personal Information with third parties without restriction.
Other than as specifically provided, we do not disclose, sell or rent any Personal Information about you to any third parties.
